Among full-size luxury SUVs, the Infiniti QX80 Sport deserves a closer look — especially with concept models designed to push boundaries both on and off the road.

Pushing the limits of the QX80 flagship model

Infiniti is expanding the possibilities of its flagship QX80 full-size luxury SUV with two bold concepts unveiled during Monterey Car Week in California. The QX80 Track Spec is designed as the ultimate street performance SUV, while the QX80 Terrain Spec caters to overlanding enthusiasts who want capability far beyond the pavement. Both concepts highlight how Infiniti is looking to push its flagship further for future growth.

A sporty yet luxurious look and feel

The Track Spec comes with distinctive styling cues, from the rocker panels and a front splitter to the fender vents and front air intakes. Borrowing the grille from the QX80 Sport grade, it also features quad exhaust outlets, a rear diffuser, and larger front Brembo brakes. The design is finished with a matte metallic black-blue vinyl wrap and massive 24-inch wheels.

The upgrades are just as impressive underneath. Infiniti’s twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 gets a significant power boost thanks to a new turbocharger system and improved exhaust, as well as upgraded compressors. It also gets a higher-capacity intercooler and new injectors. The result is more than 650 horsepower and 750 lb-ft of torque, marking the highest output ever achieved by an Infiniti vehicle.

Reliable off-road performance

While the Track Spec is built for speed, the Terrain Spec concept takes a different path. It’s lifted for more clearance and wears all-terrain tires, with rugged add-ons like protective fender flares and limb risers. It even has a rooftop lightbar and even a pop-up tent. Protective skid-style covers shield the lower front and rear fascias, while a unique side-exit exhaust and satin dark vinyl wrap complete its adventurous look.
